Garden Rooms are designed bespoke, with your needs in mind, with wide ranging uses such as a Children’s Playroom, Gym or Garden Office.
Garden Rooms can prove a very cost efficient and speedy project, usually with minimal groundwork.
Optional Upgrades
Wall Construction
Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3″ x 2″) timber framing at 600mm (24″) centres and are diagonally braced where necessary.
Wall Cladding
Selected quality Shiplap, 19mm x 125mm (¾” x 5″) pressure treated for a long maintenance-free life. Weatherboard or Loglap are available as options. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.
Wall Lining
An eco-breather membrane to meet the requirements of BS 4016 Type 2 is placed between the studwork and the exterior cladding of all the walls.
Roof Construction
Purlins are 125mm x 50mm (5″ x 2″) held in place by joist hangers on prefabricated trusses. Roofs are then boarded with OS board and covered with either black felt tiles or black Onduvilla tiles as standard. Other colours are also available as an optional extra in shaded brown, red or green. Ventilation grilles to aid air flow through roof.
Floor
Internal timber floors are available as an optional extra, with or without insulation.
Doors
PVC double French doors come as standard.
A single Personal Door is available as an optional extra.
Windows
Depending on the size of your Garden Building it will come with two pressure treated double glazed opening windows. A selection of sizes and different designs are available to choose from.
Height
2235mm (7’3″) to eaves. The overall height of the building will vary depending on the width of
your building.
Guttering
Black 100mm (4″) half round guttering and down pipe fitted to the front and the rear of the building.
Timber Treatment, Staining and Painting
All timber is pressure treated to add to the longevity of your building (excluding roof purlins). The external wall panels of our buildings will take a range of stains and paints should you wish to add colour.
